Listening Campaign and One to One Training
New Jersey Regional Coalition will hold a half-day training to prepare congregational and organizational leaders to conduct a one-to-one outreach campaign to build community and identify concerns, interests and issues that may become priorities for collective action.
When and Where:
Educational Building of Christ Care Unit Missionary Baptist Church
(Educational Building is next door to church and has separate parking lot)
234 Sicklerville Road
Sicklerville, NJ 08081
Saturday July 9, 2011 from 9 AM to 1 PM
(easy access off exit 38 of the Atlantic City Expressway)
Cost: $20/person, includes continental breakfast
In the outreach, teams of trained visitors conduct face-to-face, one-on-one visits with residents of their community or members of their congregation or organization. A community or organization is as strong or as weak as the relationships that bind it together. The outreach is intended to strengthen those bonds and develop a healthier relationship infrastructure.
In addition, the outreach can invigorate and renew leadership, encourage the development of new leaders, identify the concerns and self-interests of members and residents, and clarify organizational and community priorities.
New Jersey Regional Coalition (www.njregionalequity.org) is a coalition of faith, civic and other institutions that are mobilizing to advance an agenda of inclusion, sustainability and economic growth.
For further information or to register please contact Rev. Robert Hargrove, Rev. Quincy Hobbs, Fr. Joseph Capella, other local NJRC leaders or NJRC at njrc@njregionalequity.org or 856-854-2550.
